After a well-deserved four-week summer break, the Formula 1 makes his comeback and heads to Zandvoort for the Dutch GP, fifteenth round of the 2024 season. This is the 34th edition of the Dutch event counting for the world championship, the fourth consecutive since the return of Zandvoort on the calendar, in 2021.
After Monaco, Zandvoort is the second smallest circuit on the calendar with its length of 4,259 meters. Used between 1952 and 1985 in longer versions, the Dutch layout made its return in 2021 in its current configuration, with its famous “banking” turns 3 and 14 (inclined towards the inside of the turn).
On his land, Max Verstappen is currently undefeated with three victories in as many Grands Prix. The Orange army of supporters will undoubtedly be there once again this weekend to support the local hero. The race lap record is held by Lewis Hamilton, who signed a 1’11″097 in 2021.
