Karun Chandhok's dream

Better late than never. With less than two weeks before the opening round of the 2010 world championship, many thought that José Ramon Carabente's team, now called Hispania Racing F1 Team, would not be in Bahrain. And yet, Bruno Senna will be at the start next Sunday, just like his teammate Karun Chandhok, happy as a kid to make his debut in the queen discipline of the car as he confided to the official website of the Formula 1.

“It?s just an incredible feeling. I am so happy to have finally succeeded in realizing this dream for which we have been working for so long. We have worked for so many years to accomplish this and now here we are. »

But joy doesn't stop him from keeping his feet on the ground. Hard days await the Indian pilot.

“I have no illusions. We are a new team with two beginners and no practice sessions. Continues the former GP2 Series driver. The first races will therefore surely be very delicate. But the team has very good engineers and designers and Mr Carabante is very involved in the project, so as the season progresses I am convinced that we will progress. But the first part of the job is going to be to be reliable. There are going to be problems, even the best have problems during shakedowns, and ours will be the first free practice session on Friday. But we have to remain optimistic and get through the first races before thinking about getting good results. »

Lots of enthusiasm from the Indian rookie. An enthusiasm that he will have to pass on to the entire team of Dr. Colles, who must expect to experience difficult times.
