One would be tempted to say that it is better to lead the race but with 24 Grand Prix, the pressure is likely to be heavy on Norris who is chasing his first title while Verstappen is rather familiar with this pressure following his 4 consecutive titles.

I also mentioned the statistic that often means that the winner of the first GP is champion. It's not just a coincidence: it reveals which team and driver are the best prepared, and it gives a psychological advantage over the rest of the field. That said, it makes things more difficult because it's at the last GP that you have to be at the top of the standings, and the championship then becomes long... You then find yourself in the position of the one who has everything to lose, you have to accept it. But if you compare this race with the disaster in Brazil last year in the same conditions, Norris seems to have turned a corner. Go Lando!
