Vietnam imposes quarantine on people coming from Italy

After imposing a 14-day quarantine on people coming from China, but also from Iran and South Korea at the start of the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic, Vietnam has expanded the list of countries concerned to include Italy in recent hours, our neighbors constituting the main source of spread in Europe.

A necessity to try to stem the spread of the virus (we remind you again that it is benign in 80% of cases), and which could have an impact on the F1, if the measure were to last over time.

Let us remember that the Hanoi event is scheduled for April 3 to 5 and that the Team Ferrari and the Scuderia Alpha Tauri are based in Italy, with a majority of Italian staff.

Alfa Romeo racing and Haas F1 Team also have several people seconded by Ferrari in their ranks, with Maranello supplying the V6 turbo/hybrid Power Unit to these two teams.

Also worth mentioning are Pirelli, the sole manufacturer of the discipline, Brembo (brakes) and Magneti Marelli as potentially affected entities.

For now, if the Chinese Grand Prix has been postponed, the Australian Grand Prix is maintained according to the initial schedule, and the Hanoi round does not face cancellation. But other motorsport championships did not wait to postpone certain meetings, including Super Formula, or the MotoGP.
