Leclerc ahead of the Mercedes in EL3 at Spielberg

The only driver to go under the 64-second mark on a lap of the Red Bull Rings, Charles Leclerc stops the clock with a time of 1'03''987 which relegates his closest pursuer Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes at 0''143.

Accident in EL2 Friday afternoon, Valtteri Bottas ranks 3rd aboard the second Flèche d'Argent, 19 thousandths ahead of the SF90 of Sebastian Vettel. At the wheel of the highest ranked Honda-powered Red Bull, Max Verstappen occupies 5th position almost half a second from the reference established by Leclerc.

McLaren continues to impress by placing his two cars in the Top 8: Lando Norris ranks 6th, two positions ahead Carlos Sainz. Between the two MCL34 engines Renault slips the RB15 Pierre Gasly, who experienced technical problems at the start of the session.

The first half of the ranking is completed by theAlfa Romeo by Antonio Giovinazzi and the Toro Rosso by Daniil Kvyat, while the Renaults seem to be struggling again. Nico Hulkenberg, who received the B specification of the Renault propeller this morning, appears in 12th place, while his teammate Daniel Ricciardo must be satisfied with the 17th time.

Complicated session also at Haas where Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen finish 15th and 18th respectively. The Dane will also take a new gearbox for qualifying, which will begin at 15:00 p.m. on the Red Bull Ring.
