Can the Reds really leave their mark on Silverstone this weekend? Fourth in FP1, second in FP2, then leaders in FP3, Charles Leclerc also saw Lewis Hamilton dominate the first session of the weekend, thus affirming Italy's intentions on British soil. Although the Monegasque is not competing in the same context as his teammate, a nine-time winner on this track, such a start should delight the driver.

“It was a good day (Friday)! So far we have been very solid. It’s positive, but I think we can still find some speed in qualifying, he tempered. McLaren is probably the team to beat again, but in terms of race pace, I was happy."

Once again, the Team could rely more on its Sunday pace despite maximizing speed on Saturday. However, the room for maneuver that seems to remain before qualifying may finally give Ferrari hope for a possible successful weekend overall.

Leclerc confident for the Grand Prix at Silverstone

Asked about the developments made by Ferrari, as well as the work carried out on the SF-25, Charles Leclerc adopted an optimistic speech. "I'm finding my way. I've made a lot of changes to the car's settings in recent weeks to find some speed over a lap for qualifying, he explained. Right now, I don't feel like I've found the key to that, but in the race, I'm very happy with where we are. We still have to work to make that step forward on Saturday."

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who are clearly very competitive on dry tracks, may also be required to compete in wetter conditions depending on how the skies at Silverstone evolve. This would clearly represent a leap into the unknown for the Scuderia.

“The weather is a big question. We haven’t ridden that much in the rain this year so it’s an unknown, he developed. I don't know how much that might affect things. Historically, we've suffered a bit in the rain with this car. We'll see if the rain actually comes, but for now, I'm hoping for a dry weekend as long as the speed is there."

Still very fast in EL3, the Ferrari teammates can finally consider a major session this Saturday at 16:00 p.m. (French time), marking the start of qualifying before the next day's race.

Ferrari seems to be... In great shape... for qualifying... in 1h30... Leclerc / Hamilton... That would be great, ahead of the McLarens and Max... But everything can still change...!!!!! We'll see... in 2 hrs... 😎😎😎😎😎
