Leclerc “did everything to perfection”

Charles Leclerc has made a specialty of collecting the crumbs left by his adversaries. Effective in qualifying since the start of the season, he twice seized the opportunity to climb onto the podium. In Austria during the first Grand Prix of the season and this weekend at Silverstone.

Enough to make him smile. “I think we did everything perfectly. When I heard that Valtteri (Bottas) was getting a puncture, I started to slow down sharply. Then I saw that Sainz also had a problem. For our part, we were lucky but we did our best. »

La Ferrari had the merit of not having any tire problems. “ I'm very happy with the way I handled the tires and I'm very happy to be here. Even if the potential of the car is not where we wanted it to be. We didn't have a lot of downforce. I would have done four without Valtteri which was already very good. And we seized the opportunity. »

Casually, Charles Leclerc has reached the podium twice in four grand prix and is in fifth place in the championship. With the current level of the Ferrari, he can hardly hope for better. Especially since his teammate Hag finished tenth at Silverstone and has only ten points in total, thirteenth place.
