After two seasons alongside Sebastian Vettel (2019-2020), Charles Leclerc is set to pair up with another world champion at Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton. Not the least. An association which inevitably raises many questions about the cohabitation between the Monegasque and the English.
How will Frédéric Vasseur handle the situation? Will there be a number one from the start? Will both drivers have the same equipment at their disposal throughout the season? But the French team principal is not there yet, his ambition being to lead Ferrari to a first Constructors' title since 2008.
For his part, Charles Leclerc is already impatient to collaborate with such a name. While Lewis Hamilton is among the greatest achievements in the history of F1, the Monegasque is expecting a new big challenge, which he is necessarily ready to take on.
« It will be very special, he emphasizes in the Box Box Box podcast. I have always had a very special relationship with Carlos (Sainz), and we did a really good job together. Looking ahead, Lewis is obviously a seven-time world champion, the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. So it will be a big challenge for me, but I'm really looking forward to it..
On the one hand, I will be able to learn from Lewis in the same car as him, which is great. On the other hand, I will try to show what I am capable of in the same car as Lewis. That is a big motivation for me.. » Looking forward to 2025.

Prioritizing the recapture of a constructors' title is commendable, but it's a safe bet that the rivalry between the two drivers will play into the hands of a third-place finisher in the drivers' title. Does Ferrari really have confidence in Leclerc's ability to win a title? And if so, why put a Hamilton in his way and possibly ruin his chances?

John Elkann wanted him and took out his checkbook just like Lawrence Stroll wanted Adrian Newey. To be continued but I think Leclerc is inherently faster while not having the racing science of Sir Gold Lives Matter

Hamilton at Ferrari? I think he's the one who paid Ferrari to drive there! Given his age, he's no longer up to it, which is normal, and he'll never be world champion again, his 8th title is unattainable today! He doesn't want to understand that this is the century of life, make way for the young! He suffers from the same symptom as Alonso..... A true champion knows how to retire in style!!!
