En Formula 1, between teammates, everything is not always rosy. At the house of Red Bull luckily, the cohabitation between Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez is doing very well on and off the track. It is not uncommon to see the two drivers together in the paddock in joy and good humor, demonstrating the respect that each has for the other.

In Japan, when it came to discussing the 2e consecutive title of his teammate, Sergio Pérez did not hide his admiration for it. Still in contention before the start of the Grand Prix, the Mexican had only good words towards Max Verstappen.

« Max had an incredible season, hats off to him, advances the recent winner of the Singapore Grand Prix. I've said it before, I don't think Red Bull has a dominant car for Max to win the title like this so I think he's moved up a level or two above the rest.."

If at the start of the season Sergio Pérez was seen as a potential candidate for the crown, the Mexican himself has faced the facts. His garage neighbor was simply too far ahead of the rest of the peloton.

« In the beginning (year), I think I was closer to him, believes there. Once he was comfortable with the car and I was a little less comfortable, he was on another level. He delivered incredible performances, great respect to him. I am very happy for him and for the whole team. » Max Verstappen will appreciate it.

Checo Perez did well but MX was playing in another league this year, not to mention the help he received from the brilliant strategists of Scuderia Ferrari, 😩!
