FIA champions honored in Paris

The 2019 champions of the FIA-labeled series met yesterday at the Caroussel du Louvre for the 2019 International Automobile Federation awards ceremony.

Lewis Hamilton en F1, Ott Tänak en WRC, the trio Fernando Alonso - Sébastien Buemi - Kazuki Nakajima and the duo Kévin Estre – Michael Christensen in WEC, Timmy Hansen in World RX, Jean-Eric Vergne in Formula E, Nyck de Vries and Robert Shwartzman in FIA F2 and FIA F3 or the various winners of the FIA ​​Motorsport Games have all received their rewards.

Several individual distinctions were also awarded, including the title of Personality of the Year awarded posthumously to Niki Lauda. The three-time F1 world champion, who died this year, undoubtedly deserved a new tribute from the world of motorsport.

In F1, Max Verstappen was honored for Action of the Year for his duel with Charles Leclerc at Silverstone, while Alex Albon was awarded the title of Rookie of the Year.
