The two Bahrain GPs “mostly” without spectators

La F1 will definitively leave European countries following the Turkish Grand Prix in a week, and the Middle East is preparing to host two events in Bahrain with almost no spectators.

The Sakhir track must indeed organize two races, the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Sakhir Grand Prix on a different route, one week apart (November 26-29 and December 4-6), but given the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in the region, the decision was taken to limit the presence of audience.

A limited number of seats in the main stand will however be allocated to the families of healthcare workers and those on the front line in the face of the pandemic.

“While we will not be able to welcome many fans to our events this year, we are excited to have the opportunity to recognize the courage and efforts of our healthcare workers and those on the front lines of the pandemic, by offering the F1 experience, says Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, executive director of the circuit.

We are determined to put on a real show for the hundreds of millions of people who will be watching from the safe environment of their homes around the world. »
