Both Haas drivers sanctioned, Magnussen 10th in Hungary

9th under the checkered flag, Kevin Magnussen had secured the first points of Haas in 2020, taking advantage of an excellent strategic choice from his team, which had recalled the two VF20s of the Dane and Romain Grosjean in the pitlane at the end of the formation lap to put on the slick tires.

A call which will, however, cost both drivers a 10″ penalty on their racing time, since an instruction was given during the formation lap, which contravenes Article 27.1 of the Sporting Regulations, indicating that “the driver must drive his car alone and without assistance. »

Kevin Magnussen thus falls to 10th place behind Carlos Sainz (McLaren) but saves a point for Haas F1 Team. Romain Grosjean moves from 15th to 16th place.
