F1 team principals have voted their best driver of the season

Without surprise, Max Verstappen was voted driver of the year for the fourth consecutive year by the bosses of the teams of Formula 1 in an annual survey organized by the championship.

The vote was conducted by secret ballot, with each team boss giving their list of the top 10 drivers of the year. Each driver is then given scores based on F1's current points system, from 25 for first to 1 for tenth.

Four-time world champion Max Verstappen has been unanimously voted the best driver of the year. This is the first time since the ranking was created seven years ago that a driver has received the maximum number of points, namely 250.

The Dutchman beat his runners-up in the Drivers' World Championship: Lando Norris et Charles Leclerc. Oscar piastri finds himself at the foot of the podium in front Carlos Sainz. George Russell is sixth ahead of his teammate Lewis HamiltonThe seven-time world champion is the first to lose places in this top 10 compared to last year (-2).

Nico Hulkenberg is rewarded for his great season with Haas by entering this ranking (8th), just like Pierre Gasly (10e). Fernando Alonso is the one that has experienced the most significant fall compared to 2023 with seven places lost, but the Spaniard remains in the top 10.
