Rationalizing would even be a better term, especially at a time when F1 wants to give itself an ecological image. Going to Australia after the events in the Middle East before going to Italy to return to the United States was already absurd, to then go again to Europe and return to Canada! In addition, certain circuits are hardly used outside of the GPs, or not permanent, so there would be a way to group the GPs on the same continent. The pollution caused by such travel goes badly while the population is asked to make efforts and limit travel. Besides that, displaying a desire for “carbon neutrality” borders on the ridiculous.

A more regionalized calendar, that’s a good idea!! Some time ago there were Temporadas in South America which regionalized the races... Today, the Canada / United States / Mexico races could be brought together with transfers by truck while by grouping South Africa (in start of the season with pre-season testing sessions) then Brazil, the transfer could be maritime. As for bringing together the races of the petro-dollar democracies (Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi), why not because is there really competition between these 4 countries without a real motorsport culture?
