Force India's hopes

Adrian Sutil expresses his hopes for the developments of the VJM: “Bahrain was a good weekend. We played our best qualifications there. In the race, we were also both consistent. Personally, I am very happy with my start to the season. In past years, I didn't know how to start the season properly and it then took me a while to get into my championship. »

The German driver believes he got off to a much better start in 2009: “This season, I have already finished three of the four races, which is a very good start. We have made good progress with the car, especially since we can get more out of this VJM02. In Spain, we will experience some developments on our single-seaters. I hope we can take advantage of it and, why not, advance to Q2 during qualifying. »

Giancarlo Fisichella is also very happy at the idea of returning to the Catalan track: “I did two best laps in the race there, in 1997 and 2005! » The experienced Italian driver hopes to lift his Force India to better places than the last folding seats in the paddock. “A ranking in the top 12 would be a very good result! In Bahrain we showed that we have a much better car than what we had shown in previous races. »

Fisichella also hopes that all the cars will not have been able to make significant changes to hope to get into the points. ?Last year, we had an interesting race in which I finished tenth. However, with the new chicane, the circuit is less exciting than before. » The Indian team, far from being discouraged by its results, will therefore be keen to show its progress in Barcelona.
