Free practice 2 canceled in Austin

Si the first free practice session of the United States Grand Prix had been able to take place in acceptable conditions, the second session scheduled for this Friday in Austin, Texas, was canceled by race management.

The heavy rains which fell in the region initially forced the officials to delay the start of the session, the track marshals being unable to work with the risk of lightning.

The official information of the cancellation finally came shortly before 22 p.m. French time, no medical helicopter can take off for the next two hours. The tricky weather could continue tomorrow, and make the rest of the Texas weekend even more complicated.
