Pirelli tires selected for the first four 2020 GPs

How can we try to bounce back as quickly as possible? The Italian manufacturer Pirelli suffered a certain snub this Tuesday with the unanimous refusal of the teams to adopt 2020 tires for the next campaign in F1, and the 2019 range retained.

The Milanese entity then did not wait to unveil the tire selections which will be used for the first four 2020 Grands Prix, in Australia, Bahrain, Vietnam for the big novelty of the season, and in China.

Pirelli will bring a similar choice to 2019 for the Albert Park event with the C2 white, C3 yellow and C4 red tires. This selection will be repeated for Bahrain, a more “soft” choice than in 2019, where Pirelli selected the white C1, yellow C2 and red C3 tires.

The race in the streets of Hanoi and the Chinese round will benefit from the same selections (choice identical to 2019 for China). At each Grand Prix, a set of tires of the hardest compounds must be available for the race.

Remember that each driver must keep a set of the softest tires of the three compounds nominated for Q3. This game will then be returned to those who qualify in the top 10, with the other drivers keeping it for the race.

Teams are free to choose the remaining 10 sets of tires, making 13 sets in total for the weekend.
