You have to have a pretty strong mind not to falter in such an environment. Jack Doohan had probably imagined a slightly more positive atmosphere around him when he was a kid dreaming of his official debut as a driver. F1. After two years spent in reserve at Alpine, the Australian is touching his goal with his fingertips. He has indeed been announced as a starter alongside Pierre Gasly within the French team for the 2025 season. Problem? The season has not even started yet and the pressure is already clearly on his shoulders.

Machiavellian King of Cheaters!! "Il Magnifico Flavio" is already planning to land his protégé Jack Doohan in 2025 to replace him immediately with Franco Colapinto. Hypothesis 1: Doohan does the first 6 Grand Prix (i.e. Australia, China, Japan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Miami), does not convince Brille A Tort and is therefore landed before even the European tour Hypothesis 2: Brille A Tort believes that his Aussie should be given a chance and keeps him for Emilia-Romagna, Monaco, Spain, Canada, Austria, Great Britain, and Belgium (on tracks already known via F2 or F3). If the Aussie performs, he remains a starter but if not, enough and immediate promotion of Colapinto to the second seat. It seems clear that Doohan will not do the full 2025 season in the eyes of the King of Cheaters, especially since Colapinoto is more interesting for the Renault / Dacia / Alpine very present in South America but almost non-existent in Australia/New Zealand. The games are made at Alpine !!
