Italian Grand Prix scores

Perfect score for the winner of the day, another Sunday to forget for the Haas driver

10/10 Daniel Ricciardo Give honour where honour is due ! What a pleasure to find the Australian on the highest step of the podium in a season that has so far been complicated and disappointing to say the least at McLaren. Very close to his teammate Lando Norris in qualifying, Ricciardo overtook him when the lights went out during the Sprint. Qualified on the front row of a GP for the first time since Mexico 1, the ex-driver Red Bull et Renault promises an attacking race and seizes his chance from the first meters of the race by overtaking the pole sitter Max Verstappen. He then held off his former teammate throughout the first half of the race before receiving a welcome boost with the Red Bull rider's failed pit-stop. Ricciardo, however, had to spit in his hands during the 1nd stint to contain the enthusiasm of Norris as well as that of Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas on their heels. 8th career victory for the lively Australian, the 1st since Monaco 2018. A popular success and obtained on a regular basis to which he adds the bonus point for the best lap in the race in the final loop. Hat !
