This time, the negotiations were apparently simpler, unlike in 2020 when it took several months for everyone to reach an agreement. On the sidelines of the first Grand Prix of the season in Australia, the Formula 1 has indeed formalized the unanimous signing of the new Concorde Agreements which will come into force in 2026.
As a reminder, all teams must sign it without exception and it concerns the distribution of F1 revenues and the reduction of the gap, both financial and sporting, between all the teams that guarantee their commitment in this new period starting in 2026. However, the duration of this new contract has not been revealed while the last one ran from 2021 to 2025.
F1 was keen to point out that the discipline has " never been in such a strong position and all stakeholders had experienced positive benefits and significant growth " in recent years while not forgetting to thank " all the teams for their commitment throughout the process to achieve the best result for the sport "The new Concorde Agreements must now be finalized in due time," it is explained.
This announcement comes a few days after Stefano Domenicali's contract extension until 2029 as president of Formula 1.
