Haas drivers still have to adapt to Carbone Industrie brakes

Haas F1 Team had announced earlier in the week that it wanted to test the brakes again Carbon Industry replacing Brembo products during free practice at Silverstone. Expected for the first morning session, the change was finally made for free practice 2 in the afternoon, where Kevin Magnussen found his seat, given to Antonio Giovinazzi a few hours earlier.

The Dane and his teammate Romain Grosjean therefore had to adapt with these new brakes. « We changed the brakes during the break, which didn't make our life very easy, underlines the Frenchman. There is a lot of mapping and all of this has to be done behind the scenes. It was a big job. »

Performing well in Austria, with a final sixth place, the Frenchman approached this weekend with confidence, but admits to not having had the best start in Great Britain. “ We are not as fast as we were in Austria at this point in the weekend.

We're struggling a bit to get the tires running in the right window, perhaps due to the cooler temperatures, but I don't know for sure […] I wouldn't say I'm 100% happy with the car, but we have an idea of what to do for tomorrow. »
