Drivers positive about 1 F2014

Horrible noise, economical races... Critics continue to come to embellish the start of the 2014 World Championship season. F1. The new regulations, with the introduction of turbo/hybrid V6s, do not please everyone, and some have made it known, notably Bernie Ecclestone. During the traditional press conference organized on the Thursday before the Grand Prix, some drivers insisted on remaining positive, without however commenting on the issue of noise or consumption.

“It’s very fashionable to criticize Formula One these days, explains the pilot Toro Rosso Daniel Kvyat. There will always be new technology coming. Personally, I find this very interesting. It's still fast, it's going to be faster over time and we'll see at the end of the year if it's better or not, but it's still early to say. » A statement taken up in particular by Kamui Kobayashi, Caterham driver. “I really enjoy driving them although it’s definitely not easy at first. But I remember there were very similar situations before, but after a few years or months everyone forgot, so I don't think it's a big problem. But for us pilots, we still enjoy flying. It’s harder to drive in the dry, so I’m quite happy. »

For the Melbourne winner, the change can only be beneficial. “I think it's been all good for F1, says Nico Rosberg. The change in hierarchy is definitely good for everyone because the same guy was winning everything last year...we needed a little change. The cars are very pleasant to drive, that’s very good. »

Pastor Maldonado wanted to conclude this debate on a little note of humor. “To be honest, I don’t have much to say because I didn’t spend much time in the car. » proclaims the Venezuelan from Lotus.

The first free practice sessions for the Malaysian Grand Prix will take place tomorrow morning, at 3 a.m. French time.
