Strategies for the US GP

The teams should be able to carry out two types of strategies at the US GP played this evening at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas).

The best strategy would be a start on medium tires, a choice made by the three top teams with the exception ofAlexander albon (Red Bull), a passage through the pits between the 14th and 24th laps, and an end of the race on hard compounds.

The alternative consists of making a first stint on soft tires and making a stop between the 10th and 20th lap to finish on hard compounds. This strategy would waste around ten seconds.

The possible strategies will obviously be effective depending on the facts of the race, knowing that a stop under a real or virtual safety car saves around 6 seconds. Race interruptions occurred at 71% over the last 4 editions.
