Williams lead EL3 disrupted by rain

EL3 of the Italian GP was disrupted by the heavy rain which fell on the Monza circuit. The teams were only able to use the track for a quarter of an hour, with the stewards considering that the route was impassable due to the weather conditions.

The Williams were the fastest in this session with a best time achieved by Felipe Massa with a time of 1'40''660 which was 2 tenths ahead of his teammate Lance stroll the Renault de Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer surround the Toro Rosso de Carlos Sainz Jr who finished 4th.

The EL3 classification of the Italian GP is completed by Marcus Ericsson and Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso). The Sauber driver noticed a mechanical problem with his C36 as the checkered flag was waved.

Most of the drivers were content to complete installation laps in preparation for qualifying, which should be contested on a drying track according to the latest forecasts.
