For the first time this season, following qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has failed to appear optimistic in the face of a delicate situation since he has been wearing red. If the beginnings of the marriage between the Briton and Ferrari are up and down, this is the first time that the driver seems disillusioned and pessimistic about his performance.
The Englishman qualified ninth in his SF-25, which was equipped with numerous upgrades for the Sakhir circuit. The car is much better than what I am offering, confided the seven-time world champion, dejected. Charles did a good job in comparison, so I apologize to the team, to the factory in Maranello and to all the Tifosis." Apologies were the first words the Stevenage native shared with his track engineer after Q3: " Sorry guys… Really sorry.”
The British's disappointment is significant and justified: the developments in his car work, as evidenced by the second position of his Monegasque teammate. In addition, big opportunities were present due to the poor performances of Max Verstappen et Lando Norris, respectively qualified 7th and 6th.
Tough Saturdays for Hamilton
In total, six tenths separate the number 44 car from the number 16 car. A significant gap for which the Englishman fully assumes responsibility at the microphone of Sky Sports F1 : " It's not a mistake on my turn, I was just slow, explained the former pilot Mercedes. Every Saturday is like this, I just don't do a good job and I have to keep improving." Despite his difficult position, the new Ferrari driver hopes that the race will be more advantageous for him and is aiming for a top 5 finish. See you on Sunday at 17:00 p.m. (French time) to see if the seven-time champion will be able to erase his difficult Saturday.

With Antonelli dazzling and Leclerc putting the "Rossa" on the front row, Hamilton runs the risk of being quickly disowned by the tifosi. At this rate, he'd be better off staying home instead of going to the Emilia-Romagna GP where he's likely to be booed.
