Lewis Hamilton on pole position in China

Mercedes seems to have set the record straight after the qualifying session for the Chinese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton was the fastest with a best time in Q3 established in 1’35”782 and signs a third consecutive pole position in 2015. Nico Rosberg will accompany his teammate on the front row for the Chinese race, after failing 42 thousandths behind.

Behind the two W06 Hybrids, Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) leads the chasing group but nine tenths behind the single-seaters at the star. The German is ahead of both Williams by Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. Kimi Räikkönen ranks 6th in the second Ferrari SF15-T ahead of the only car equipped with a Power Unit Renault having managed to reach Q3, the Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo. Romain Grosjean (Lotus) and the two Saubers of Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson complete the top 10 of the starting grid.

Little disappointment in the clan Toro Rosso with the two STR10s of Max Verstappen et Carlos Sainz who were unable to advance to the final part of qualifying. The two young drivers from the Faenza team will start 13th and 14th ahead of the Force India of Pérez and Hulkenberg, McLaren of Button and Alonso and the Manor of Stevens and Merhi who bring up the rear, but which have entered the limit of 107%.

The race will start tomorrow at 8 a.m. French time and can be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
