Mercedes F1 continues to inexorably line up the laps on the Catalunya circuit. Lewis Hamilton achieved the best time of the morning with a time of 1’23”622 achieved on soft tires. The three-time world champion was also the most productive with 73 rounds covered.
Kevin Magnussen (Renault) is the closest to the Briton with three tenths behind after having evolved with the super soft tires. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) completes the top three in front Valtteri Bottas (Williams) and Jenson Button (McLaren).
Marcus Ericsson (Sauber), on the other hand, was discreet this morning by only covering seven laps. Esteban Gutierrez (Haas) only covered one loop due to a turbo problem identified on the VF-16.
