Lewis Hamilton talks about Bahrain: “A unique challenge”

Lewis Hamilton has already successfully transferred to Mercedes, after two podiums and a pole position in three Grand Prix. While he has declared himself as a serious candidate in the fight for the title after Shanghai, the Briton arrives in Bahrain with the desire to confirm his good results. “The weekend in China was very positive for me and the team”, explains the 2009 world champion. “With each race, I am more and more established in my car, and we are very happy with our pole and our podium results. There are a few areas we need to improve on to close the gap to the faster cars and we are working hard to identify and develop them?, explains the former resident of McLaren.

“There is limited progress before Bahrain but I will speak with all my engineers before we arrive at the circuit and see where we can make progress in such a short time”, continues Lewis Hamilton, currently fourth in the Drivers' standings, before discussing this weekend's atypical Grand Prix: “The Bahrain circuit is a real challenge, especially for the tires with overheating and sand on the circuit, but that helps to make it unique. The layout has a good mix of fast, medium and slow corners which makes it challenging for both drivers and cars. This is going to be a real test for us. »
