Lewis Hamilton proud of his pole

Lewis Hamilton made a great return to the top position on the starting grid by taking pole position for tomorrow's Monza race in Italy. The Briton was proud of his team after the session.

“I’m proud of my guys. These people, on my side of the garage, were obviously also there in difficult times. They did an outstanding job, they bounced back every time, fixed the car and dealt with the difficulties, indicated the 2008 World Champion at a press conference. This double is excellent for the team. I'm really proud to be there for them. To be honest, over the last seven races, I always went into the weekend thinking it would be a clean weekend. We had a problem yesterday, and Nico had a problem today. It's definitely an area we're focusing on to try and improve the team. »

Despite this double, Hamilton believes that it will be necessary to monitor the Williams de Valtteri Bottas, 3rd on the grid. “Tomorrow it would be really good to have another double for the team. They are working very hard and I hope we have a good fight with Williams. I think it would be great for the fans. I'm just looking forward to it. »
