Lewis Hamilton motivated by his results

After a difficult period, Lewis Hamilton returns to the forefront with McLaren. The 2008 World Champion achieved the best time during the two free practice sessions (1:21:018) with a 0:241 lead over Fernando Alonso, his closest opponent. Jenson Button confirms McLaren's good form by setting the third time (+0??304).

The last winner of the Nürburgring does not hide his enthusiasm to see himself in the best place again. “It’s a great feeling to start the weekend with the best position”, comments the Briton after the tests. “We had a better Friday than the one we had at the Nürburgring and I'm quite satisfied with it. There car seems quite competitive with the balance and on-board fuel that I had. »

If Friday's results are not revealing for the rest of the weekend, Lewis Hamilton is optimistic about the performance of the MP4-26. “It is important not to trust too much in today?s results”, recalls the McLaren driver. “The track could be different tomorrow as could the temperatures. But I think we will have the same pace as we showed in Germany, which is encouraging. The team managed to bring us some developments for this weekend, despite the short time between the two races. »
