Lewis Hamilton is not worried

After beating his teammate Nico Rosberg to the best time during the first part of the second free practice session in Austin, Texas, Lewis Hamilton had been recalled to his stand by his team, a problem having been detected on the W05 Hybrid no. 44. After a few failures with the gearbox, it was a hydraulic problem that forced Mercedes to stop the 2008 World Champion who is not worried about the rest of his weekend.

“There was some fluid on the floor, so a leak of some sort but I don’t think it was serious. I'm not worried. It doesn't really help when you lose riding time on long runs because that's when you understand how to manage the race but Nico collected the data for the team so it should be good. » says Hamilton, who also expects a very close fight with Rosberg for pole position and victory.

The third free practice session will begin at 16 p.m. French time and will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr. Photos from Friday in Austin can be viewed here.
