Lewis Hamilton thinks of a mechanical breakdown

Lewis Hamilton perhaps could have performed even better in qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but the driver Mercedes will have to settle for fourth place after spinning on his last flying lap. The 2008 world champion harbors even more regrets as he was improving before leaving the track. The Briton seemed concerned while inspecting his W04. “For some reason something happened on the right side of the car. I went through the chicane, I had the power and everything escaped me. I tried to start again but it wouldn't go any further. Something broke. »

The Mercedes driver is disappointed to have to start behind his teammate Nico Rosberg when he was hoping to be able to come and tickle the Red Bull by Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. The Briton nevertheless sees the bright side of things with a place on the second row. “It's a circuit where it's very difficult to overtake, being in front means everything here, but we hope to have a good start like we did in Japan and maybe we can fight for better places. I thank God that didn't drop me too far in the standings. »

The start of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be given tomorrow at 14 p.m. French time. Click on this link to see photos of the tests.
