Lewis Hamilton regains victory in Canada

His exit from the track in free practice on Friday is now forgotten. By pocketing his fourth success of the year on the Gilles Villeneuve track in Montreal, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) resumed its march forward in 2015 after being dominated in Spain and Monaco by Nico Rosberg. The Briton dominated the entire Canadian event, first winning at the start in front of his German teammate then controlling the race, despite Rosberg's close attempt in the second part of the Grand Prix which nevertheless allowed to the Silver Arrows to achieve the double.

The podium is completed by la Williams FW37 Valtteri Bottas, which offers the Grove team its first podium in 2015 and completes a 100% Mercedes engine trifecta. The Finn notably took advantage of the error of Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) at the hairpin of the circuit after his pit stop to gain the advantage over his compatriot.

Left far on the grid after his penalty
, Sebastian Vettel fails in fifth position after having made a good comeback. Felipe Massa (Williams), despite missed qualifying, climbed into the points in sixth position ahead of the first Lotus of Pastor Maldonado and Nico Hulkenberg (ForceIndia). Daniil Kvyat (Red Bull) ranks as the only driver powered by the turbo/hybrid V6 Renault in the top 10 and precedes Romain Grosjean who gets the point for tenth place, despite a five-second penalty on his race time for hitting Will Stevens' Manor.

Grand Prix to forget once again in the clan McLaren, since neither Fernando Alonso, nor Jenson Button saw the finish. The Woking riders are impatiently awaiting the return to Europe in Austria and the planned developments on the MP4-30 Honda. The next meeting with the Formula 1 will take place from June 19 to 21 in Austria.
