Lewis Hamilton feels stronger

In Germany and Hungary, Lewis Hamilton Did not have easy weekends. Yet each time, the 2008 World Champion managed to get on the podium. A situation from which the Briton was able to make the most of the positive.

“I really limited the damage in the last two races. But if I'm honest, looking back, I wouldn't want it to be any different. Sometimes it's good to have easy races, but I like the challenge, and I like to fight, explains the pilot Mercedes. It's not the simple times that show who you are, it's the complicated times. I think the difficulties I had this year made me stronger. I hope I showed that I have heart. »

The old pilot McLaren believes, moreover, that luck has changed, particularly in Hungary. “I managed not to damage my car on the exit of the first lap. Getting two podiums following these two races just before the break is very satisfying. And above all, it allows me to take advantage of this free time, while knowing that I still have my chances in the Championship. »

The Briton will take advantage of the break to work on his physique. The removal of the FRIC system has lightened the W05 Hybrid, which could allow Lewis Hamilton to gain a little muscle mass, he who admitted to being “very, very light at the moment. »
