The tribute of the French FFSA Team to Jules Bianchi

Like the entire world of motorsport, the members of the current French FFSA Circuits Team, frequented by Jules Bianchi a few years ago, and their captain Jean Alesi, wanted to pay tribute to the Nice driver who died in the night from Friday July 17 to Saturday July 18.

JOHN ALESI:
“This July 18 is a dark day. But, Jules will not be forgotten. He did not win a Grand Prix or title in F1, but in motorsport, we will forget him less than a driver who won thanks to his personality, his simplicity, his way of doing things. He was loved, all the fans wanted to take a photo with him, everyone wanted to know him. He was the little darling of F1, everyone adored him. He was still driving at 100% despite an underperforming car. He fine-tuned his settings so as not to be 5 seconds from pole, but 4,5: a real pro! His coup in Monaco is worth a world title. 24 hours after his accident, we knew it was very serious, but as long as there is life, there is hope and Jules had accustomed us to miracles. His parents were exceptional throughout these nightmare months, I think deeply of them. Jules has left us, he was never alone during his fight and he will always be in our thoughts. »

PIERRE GASLY :
?I still can?t realize? it was such an example for all of us, especially for me. He was a kind of big brother that we want to copy. His determination and his mentality were incredible and it increased my motivation tenfold. He wanted to be the best at everything, he never gave up and he always succeeded wherever he went: karting, Formula Renault, F3, GP2, everywhere its potential was enormous. He was a champion. He had a future in F1; this future had to go through summits and he deserved to know the glory, the recognition of his work. I can't seem to realize that it's all over. Jules was kind, humble. More than one would have changed their behavior when arriving in F1. Him, no. He had everything to succeed and he was already loved by everyone. »

ANTHOINE HUBERT:
“I am shocked because like Jean Alesi, Olivier Panis or Alain Prost said, we had hope of a miracle even if we knew that Jules was fighting a very difficult battle. I was very upset when I heard the news when I woke up. He was the best Frenchman in recent years and surely the biggest hope for a world title in the coming years. It's sad. But beyond being a sportsman, he was the kindest and most approachable of all the Formula 1 drivers. He came to congratulate me on my Formula 4 title when he was in F1 and he had to ?other fish to fry. He will remain as an example that will motivate us all for the rest of our careers. This is all the more true for me since he was in the same categories and in the same team as me. His behavior and passion will continue to guide us. »

ARTHUR PEAK:
“First of all, I’m losing a friend. Jules will be greatly missed by all of us, both the sportsman and the man. Last year, we often met at the races to eat together or play football. He always had a smile, he was happy all the time. It is this joy of life and this freshness that I want to keep deep within me, in addition to his immense talent. »

DORIAN BOCCOLACCI:
“I started karting in 2006 in Brignoles, on the track of Jules' father, Philippe? Jules was only 16 or 17 years old and he was fabulous at karting. Then, I saw him climb the motorsport ladder and arrive in F1. It fueled my dream of following in his footsteps, of following someone who was like a big brother whose exploits we admire. His passing touches me a lot. I knew his health was not improving, but I remained hopeful. My thoughts are with his family, especially his brother. They have been through an ordeal for nine months. We must keep Jules deep within us, think of him. It?s unfair, but we must try to move forward, to draw strength from what he did. »

AURELIEN PANIS:
“Jules was truly a fantastic person. I had the chance to meet him during the federation's physical preparation courses and he was even my mechanic when I drove a karting! It allowed us to build special, professional and human relationships. It was with deep sadness that I learned that he had left. He will always remain in our minds as a huge talent and a huge champion as well. All my condolences to his family, Jules will never be forgotten. »
