The circuit located in the Var can therefore host private and official test sessions as well as a Grand Prix on three different tracks, without additional developments. However, to see a Grand Prix in France again, Bernie Ecclestone still needs to find an agreement with the local authorities.

« The circuit and its installations are simply remarkable and meet the most rigorous standards: covering, clearance zones, vibrators, walls, barriers and protective mesh are in impeccable condition », Specifies the letter sent Monday by Charlie Whiting.

The last Grand Prix on French soil dates back to 2008, on the Magny-Cours circuit, in Nièvre. Felipe Massa won ahead of Kimi Räikkönen and Jarno Trulli.
