Eric Alonso / DPPI

After his setbacks in Australia, Liam Lawson failed again in the sprint qualifying session for the Chinese Grand Prix. by pointing to the last placeThe abysmal difference with his teammate Max Verstappen (around eight tenths in SQ1), second in the exercise, further tarnishes this poor performance.

« My second round was not good,” confesses the Kiwi. I stayed out to try to cool the tires before the second attempt, and I couldn't reduce the temperatures. When the second lap started, they were too hot and I suffered at the end." Not being the first to fail against the Dutch four-time world champion, he reacts when asked if the Red Bull would not be too difficult to drive: " No, no. It's just frustrating because qualifying started well. Things will improve tomorrow; we have the Sprint Race and Grand Prix qualifying to see some things. We clearly need to do a better job."

The New Zealander will have to show a better face on Saturday, as the Red Bull driver did not shine in Australia for his first Grand Prix with the parent company, finishing 18th in qualifying and retiring during the race.

Join us tonight at 4 a.m. for the Sprint Race to observe a potential comeback from Liam Lawson. Qualifying for the main race will begin at 8 a.m.

Will they ever understand at RBR that reigning terror in the second garage produces the opposite effect of what they are seeking? Faced with McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes, who have two drivers scoring points, the constructors' title is already lost to RBR.
