Liberty Media: No serious discussions with a new team

Liberty Media indicates that it is not having serious discussions with a team with a view to arriving in 2021. Earlier today, Campos Racing and MIM had revealed their intentions.

Liberty Media: No serious discussions with a new team

The press release is brief and straight to the point: “ After the publicity in recent days of several entities which have expressed their desire to participate in the FIA World Championship of Formula 1 from 2021, and while Formula 1 appreciates their interest, we can confirm that no serious discussions have been held with any individuals or companies regarding the admission of a new team. »

Liberty Media's statements follow the announcement this Thursday of the Campos Racing – MIM association to launch a structure capable of arriving on the grid in 2021, with potentially Pascal Wehrlein and Alex Palou in the loop to drive for this team flying the Spanish flag.

The press release from this structure however mentioned meetings with Liberty Media from the last Spanish Grand Prix. Interest in this project also followed possible interest from Panthera Racing for a place on the grid.
