Free 2: Webber above the fray

After three hours of testing in Korea, a favorite is difficult to extract for qualifying and the Yeongam race. Indeed, the ranking of the second free practice session offers a top 4 made up of four different cars! With the teams working on different programs, with unknown fuel levels, and what's more on a new track, it is very difficult to say who will be able to do well on Saturday and Sunday.

However, the expected teams, McLaren et Red Bull, are present at the meeting. Lewis Hamilton set the best time in the first free practice session, Mark Webber that of the second. In addition, McLaren, through its two World Champions, was at the forefront throughout the two sessions, and Webber is the only driver to have driven in less than 1'38" per lap.

Renault, who expected to be able to shine in Korea, was not wrong. The stable ofenstone stood out thanks to Robert Kubica, second in the morning, fourth in the afternoon. Vitaly Petrov, not far from his teammate during the second session, was ahead of the Mercedes by Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, Renault can hope to grab points from Ross Brawn's team.

After these three hours of driving, several teams are neck and neck to dominate the first Korean Grand Prix. Between McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari, with Renault as referee, the battle promises to be hotly contested. First answers with the qualifying session, Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
