Liuzzi happy and disappointed at the same time

Vitantonio Liuzzi is torn between various emotions. The Italian is happy to have concluded the season with Force India. But his joy is limited by the fact that the two drivers of the Indian team did not manage to protect sixth place in the Constructors' Championship from the impressive comeback of Williams.

« On the one hand, I am happy (from my season), but I am disappointed on other levels, commented Vitantonio Liuzzi, who saw his last race of the season end on the first lap with the accident involving Michael Schumacher. “I am satisfied because we had some very strong races and I am disappointed that we sometimes lost important points which could have helped us to maintain sixth place in the Manufacturers' Championship. »

The Force India driver blames mechanical problems that hit the Indian team for several poor results. “ We experienced problems with the accelerator and several gearbox problems. We had a lot of problems which caused us to lose a lot of places. »

However, Adrian Sutil's teammate knows that these facts are part of the competition. “ I'm a little affected by it but this sector is difficult, things never really work 100% well. The team worked very hard and I had a great season with them. Force India did a fantastic job to secure seventh place in the Constructors' Championship and we should be proud of that. »

However, could the feeling of disappointment that animates Vitantonio Liuzzi's mind also be explained by the better performances of his teammate Adran Sutil? The German finished 10th place in the Championship (with 47 points) while the Italian was in 15th position (with 21 points).
