Lola in the ranks

The evaluation is already underway and covers the technical, operational and financial areas with? Already ? the creation of a cell dedicated to F1 and the arrival of new collaborators.

“The announcement of an F1 that could be less expensive, with the possibility of having a budget not to be exceeded for all the teams, made us decide to evaluate the opportunity of developing a car to participate in the World Championship,” Martin Birrane, executive chairman of Lola Group, said this week.

Single-seaters designed by Lola were already fielded in F1 between the 60s and 90s but also in Champ Car, Formula Nippon, F3000, F3 and A1 GP. Today, the workshops based in Huntingdon produce LMP1 and LMP2 cars for endurance races.
