One thing is certain, the new generation of Formula 1 is already taking effect. While the teams present their cars – some delivered – one after the other, the euphoria is felt more and more a few days before the first pre-season tests in Barcelona (February 23 to 25) like the recent release of Ross Brawn.

It is true that F1 sought to simplify single-seaters in order to allow drivers to be closer together in races, thus increasing the chances of overtaking and therefore improving the spectacle offered to the consumer.

« The new rules will take a little time to get to grips with but I think we will be in a much better position moving forward with this type of car than with what we have had before., advances the sporting director of Formula 1, Ross Brawn.

There is a lot of optimism for the season and I even think that we will see some very interesting performances from these young drivers who are arriving (in the paddock). They'll have the right car at their disposal, and we can all have fun. »

If for the moment no car has really run apart from the usual shakedowns, Ross Brawn has a lot of hope for this new era of F1 even if he recognizes that the regulations should not necessarily shake up the hierarchy already in place.

« All the decisions we made were aimed at not lowering the sport, but making it more accessible for more teams and for the fight to be closer in the future, while maintaining meritocracy so that the best teams always win, continues the former engineer of Ferrari.

Any victory must be deserved. Honestly, I don't think the new regulations will drastically change the already established order. I think he will close the gap, mid-field teams will fight more and we will have a bigger group of competitive teams. »So much speculation which suggests a very lively new campaign.
