Lotus-Renault GP targets top 6 in Spain

Eric Boullier is actively preparing for the next two busy weeks on the calendar, with the Spanish GP followed a week later by the Monaco GP. The director of Lotus-Renault hopes to confirm the good performances of the team at the start of the season and would again like a result that matches the potential of the R31.

« It was good to see the two cars fighting at the same level and both scoring points », admits Eric Boullier. “ But when you've been in the podium race in every race with different drivers, you expect a better result than 7th and 8th. This is why I expect a little more. »

The director of Lotus-Renault GP expects that the developments made to the R31 will increase the performance of the car. " Since we came to test here, we have made changes to the car which should allow better performance compared to this winter. The situation is also different: it?s a race and we have a different approach than in testing. We hope to make progress to fight for the top six again. »
