Louis Delétraz with Haas at Abu Dhabi testing

Aged 21, Louis Delétraz will soon debut at the wheel of a Formula 1. The young Swiss will indeed settle into the seat of the Haas VF-18 on November 28, in Abu Dhabi, on the occasion of the second day of Pirelli testing, during which the teams will discover the 2019 tires.

« I am obviously extremely impatient, underlines the son of Jean-Denis, credited with three Grand Prix starts between 1994 and 1995. I am truly grateful to Gene Haas and Günther Steiner for giving me this opportunity. This is another key milestone that brings me closer to my goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver. It's a perfect way to end the 2018 season and I look forward to spending time with the Haas F1 Team in Brazil as well as in Abu Dhabi before piloting the VF-18. »

Winner of the NEC FR 2.0 2015, second in the Eurocup FR 2.0 2015 and the Formula V8 3.5 in 2016, Delétraz is fierce this year in Formula 2 within the Charouz Racing System team. Before the final in Abu Dhabi, he occupies 11th place in the general classification thanks in particular to two second places in race 2, won in Monaco and at Paul-Ricard.
