Magnussen: “With Haas, it’s a bit like being in F3”

Kevin Magnussen doesn't seem to want to leave Haas F1 Team. The Dane joined the American team this year and showed a certain ease as he managed to score 19 points, nine points behind his teammate. Romain Grosjean, taking 14th place in the Championship, which represents a good result for the young team.

“I really feel at home. I am very happy, assured the former pilot McLaren, Quoted by ESPN. It's nice to be in a team that is simple. Everyone here is here to compete. There's no bullshit or commercial stuff, it's real racing team. With Haas, it's a bit as if we were in F3. It's very transparent. We don't have to work with people we don't want to work with. »

Kevin Magnussen certainly still has in mind the dispute between him and Cyril Abiteboul, the director general of Renault Sport Racing, after leaving Losange.

“It's very easy to talk to (Gene Haas, the owner of the team of the same name and Günther Steiner, the Team Principal). They are present at every debriefing, they don't talk to us about sponsors or that kind of thing. I really enjoy working with everyone on this team, not just the engineers and mechanics,” said the Dane.

Kevin Magnussen has signed a contract with Haas F1 Team for several seasons and will continue to defend the interests of the American team next season with Romain Grosjean.
