He will have lasted about 4 months, no more. Under suspension since the Miami Grand Prix, when he brought his total to 10 points on his license, Kevin Magnussen completed the 12 required to be banned for a Grand Prix. It was at Monza that the Dane was found guilty of an uncontrolled manoeuvre while attempting to overtake Pierre Gasly during the Italian Grand Prix this Sunday.

In addition to a 10-second penalty, the race direction added two additional points to the driver's license. Haas bringing the total to 12 points over the last 12 months. As a result, Kevin Magnussen will be suspended for the next Grand Prix on the calendar, namely that of Azerbaijan (13-15 September).

Haas now has the option to appeal the penalty in the hope of avoiding a driver missing in Baku in two weeks. When asked about the possible penalty, the American team simply replied: "When we have official information to share, we will do so at the appropriate time." However, the FIA subsequently published an official document confirming Kevin Magnussen's suspension for the following Grand Prix, in Baku.

If the suspension is confirmed, Kevin Magnussen would become the first driver to be excluded from a Grand Prix since the introduction of this points-based license during the 2014 season. As for his possible replacement, Haas has not communicated anything for the moment. Could Oliver Bearman have a new chance? The Englishman will in any case be present in Baku since the F2 also performs there as a curtain raiser for the F1The American team will however have to have the approval of Ferrari to roll the Brit into the VF-24.

KMag really missed the mark! Too bad he has to give up his cockpit in Baku... most likely to Bearman to get acquainted with Haas ahead of the 2025 season.
