Magny-Cours will host the Rookies Tests

These three teams will therefore go directly to Nièvre after the Italian Grand Prix (September 7-9) before leaving for Singapore. Since 2008, the Magny-Cours circuit no longer hosts the world championship of Formula 1 since the FFSA had decided to give up its role as promoter of the event. These tests are therefore good news for Serge Saulnier, director of the circuit, but there is still a lot to do before seeing a Grand Prix on French soil again.

« I am delighted to be able to announce that next month, Formula 1 cars will be back on the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit, Saulnier explains. We have been working tirelessly for many years to continue to improve our facilities, which have just been re-approved for the next 4 years to F1 standards, and I am certain that the teams and their drivers will be delighted with the work achieved. These tests are also a positive and very important step in our approach to the return of Formula 1 to our circuit. Magny-Cours is a candidate to host the next French Grands Prix and these tests will allow us to demonstrate, in real life, and to all the members of the teams who will be present, the quality of our track and the know-how of our staff. . »
