Why is now the right time for Andretti?
Michael Andretti has next ideas. At the beginning of October 2021, the matter seemed settled: Islero Investments AG, a company founded in 2018 to take over from Longbow Finance, which had acquired the Sauber holding company in 2016 – comprising Sauber Motorsport AG and Sauber Engineering – was not not to sell. After much hesitation, Finn Rausing, heir to the Swedish packaging group Tetra Pak, definitively declined the takeover offer from the owner of the eponymous team Andretti Autosport (operating in IndyCar Series), whose new company Andretti Acquisition Corporation was seeking to acquire a F1.
