Maldonado wants a Renault engine at 100% capacity

The awakening of the Lotus in Spain with the first points of Romain Grosjean for the teamenstone will not be extended over time. The following three races were crossed by the E22s of the Frenchman and his teammate, the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado like a real way of the cross. But the former pilot Williams don't want to lose hope. For him, the main current weaknesses of his car come from the V6 turbo / hybrid Renault.

“We need this engine 100% to be able to focus on other parameters over which we have control, Maldonado said in an interview with Crash.net. Now we have to make up for the time we lost. I think that it is possible. There are still a lot of races to go and we are going to do our best, do what we know we can do. Renault is very professional in building and designing cars, so let's take 100% out of this Renault block, even though we know it's not the most powerful engine, but Red Bull was very successful with it. I wasn't part of Lotus last year, but the team has struggled with Red Bull in the past and they were the only ones to come close to Red Bull in 2013. Hopefully we can get better, we'll see. »

Pastor Maldonado signed his best result of the season during the last Grand Prix in Austria, with a 12th place ahead of the other E22 of Romain Grosjean, 14th.
