It is an image that Mattia Binotto and Charles Leclerc would have gone well. As in Barcelona, the Monegasque was in the lead before his engine failed him and forced him to return to the pits. The lull at the start of the season already seems far away for Mattia Binotto and the Team. Since the start of the season, Ferrari had managed to make a leap forward in terms of performance without experiencing reliability problems. But since the introduction of the second power unit on single-seaters powered by the Scuderia, breakdowns have increased.

Mattia Binotto, the team manager and leader of the Scuderia does not want to be alarmist after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. “ First of all, I think we weren't too excited at the start of the season. I don't think we're going to dramatize today either, it's true that it's really a shame what happened but we have to understand what the problems were and try to resolve them. », explains Mattia Binotto at the microphone of Canal +.

As concerns begin to arise from all sides, the Scuderia chooses unity to overcome the difficulties. “ As a team, I believe we have to stay united, that's all we have to do, the drivers too. You have to keep the mood, somehow keep the good spirit and I'm sure that as a team we've done a good job to get here today. We will continue to work as much and we will be even stronger in the future. So you need patience sometimes », explains Mattia Binotto.

« There was a positive start to the season, now it's a little more difficult but things can turn around. It makes us look to the future, always with positivity, the desire to do well and it is with the desire to do well that we do even better. » Not sure that at Haas et Alfa Romeo, we have the same state of mind as Mattia Binotto. The two client teams were also affected by mechanical problems with the retirements of Magnussen and Zhou
